RoboBus is Australia’s first STEM bus classroom that looks to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths subjects in a hands on way. We also include the Arts in our sessions to encourage design thinking and creativity.
The RoboBus vision aims to break digital poverty amongst disadvantaged communities. Digital poverty has been defined as the problem of inadequate access to information and communication technology (ICT) - especially prevalent amongst disadvantaged groups of children from indigenous backgrounds, CALD communities, low income families and for people living in public housing.
Our current school and community partners include:
The Melbourne Indigenous Transition School
South Melbourne Park Primary School
Port Melbourne Primary School
Banksia Gardens Community Centre
Police Citizen Youth Community in St Kilda
The Emerald Hill library
Park Towers Community centre

We run programs on the bus and inside community rooms and on school premises (lunch time sessions and school holiday programs have been our most popular) to help encourage children to embrace STEAM topics in a fun and engaging way.
